The Mackerel Makery is a small, friendly Cornish business with an independent shop in beautiful Penzance, on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.
 
The Mackerel Makery team is small but perfectly formed – Emma, her daughters Jasmine and Lily and their friends. We stock an ever-changing range of delightful things – cards, gifts, stationery, books, jigsaw puzzles, craft kits, prints and gardening wares. There is a room dedicated to children - brimming with imaginative toys, creative activities and a carefully curated book selection.

Emma was inspired to start the business by the time spent with her Little Grandma, making peg dolls and pom poms, reading and gardening.

We are passionate about promoting conscious consumerism and, in keeping with Penzance being a plastic free town, our products are environmentally friendly. We support independent makers where possible, many of whom are based locally.
